The nose is gourmand, roasted, spicy, with a touch of dried herbs. It also expresses notes of morello cherry, roasted red cherry, dried blackcurrant, woody freshness, dried cranberries, as well as liquorice, cardamom, cumin, balsamic, dried mint and peppermint. There is also a hint of maceration, fresh hazelnut, fresh bitter almond and coffee. The palate is fresh, ample, tangy and refined. It expresses notes of blackcurrant, bigarreau cherry, blackberry, morello cherry, blueberry, cranberries, associated with a spicy hint of liquorice, cardamom, as well as a floral bouquet (peony, cornflower, violet, lily), as well as touches of fresh almond and hazelnut. Good persistence in the mouth, savoury and gourmand, with a pleasant bitterness of bird cherry and the acidity of cocoa nibs.
