The nose is delicate, but concentrated, with distinct, but envelopped tertiary notes (tobacco, undergrowth in the background, dried leaves). Then, we find notes of dried and macerated fruits (a delicate touch of prunes, crushed blackcurrant, red cherry, crushed morello cherry, raspberry, roasted strawberry in the background), a delicate spiciness (nutmeg, cardamom, white pepper, liquorice) and herbaceous notes (dried mint and fresh peppermint, a hint of thyme and bay leaf), aromas of fresh and dried flowers (rose, iris, lilac), as well as a hint of chocolate and cocoa. The palate is tangy, lively, fresh, and expresses notes of ripe tangy fruits (cherry, raspberry, blueberry, a hint of morello cherry), a fine menthol-like hint (peppermint, dried mint, thyme and bay leaf), as well as a good bitterness of bird cherry, cocoa and coffee on the persistence. We also find a touch of pine (wood), tobacco, dried leaves and undergrowth. The finish is sapid, juicy, fruity and quite persistent. The tannins are finely tight, quite solid and structured.
