The nose is concentrated, aromatic, dense, and expresses aromas of ripe and roasted fruits (juicy morello cherry, roasted red cherry, wild strawberry, raspberry coulis), as well as balsamic, cardamom, licorice, white pepper, nutmeg, fresh tobacco, sage and dried mint. There is also a very light touch of vanilla, peony and lilac, a gourmet and integrated toasted side (hazelnut and almond, a touch of coffee in the background), mint chocolate. The palate is lively, chiseled, fair, enveloping, fresh, with a hint of coffee bitterness, gourmet fruity flavors (morello cherry, wild strawberry, raspberry coulis), but more on the tangy side (red cherry, cranberries), complemented by spicy notes of cardamom, licorice, and nutmeg. Good persistence, which adds notes of tobacco, cocoa, fresh aromatic herbs (bouquet garni, mint) and a good bitterness. The wine is closed and tight at first, but opens up gradually. The tannins are finely tight, powdery, cocoa. A well-constructed and balanced wine.
