The nose expresses freshness (the cool summer and spring during the vintage) in its menthol nuance (the aromas of pine needles, mint), herbaceous (blackcurrant bud) and notes of tangy fruits (bigarreau cherry, raspberry, crunchy strawberry, redcurrant, blackcurrant), associated with a tangy touch of citrus fruits (bergamot, blood orange peel). We also find spicy notes of liquorice and nutmeg, as well as a hint of toasted almond. The palate is slender, elegant, rather firm, but offers a gourmet fruitiness (tangy strawberry, morello cherry, raspberry, blackcurrant, bigarreau cherry, redcurrant), we also find the citrus side (blood orange peel, bergamot) and herbaceous notes of blackcurrant bud and pine needles. A delicate tanginess in the notes of roasting – we smell more cocoa nibs than chocolate, as well as notes of liquorice and a racy minerality (dry stone, an earthy hint) as well as undergrowth. Fineness and delicacy in the mouth, the tannins are fine and polished.
