Château Franc Baudron 2022 – Montagne Saint-Emilion

The wine has a deep ruby color. The nose is fragrant, refined and gourmand, with a slight sweetness. It expresses notes of morello cherry, blackberry, black plum, wild strawberry, crushed blueberry and raspberry coulis, combined with a delicate woody touch (coffee, toasted wood, toasted hazelnut), a hint of liquorice, dried mint and dried rose. The palate is silky, textured and enveloping. The attack is dense, slightly chocolatey, but juicy and fresh. It expresses notes of morello cherry, slightly bitter bird cherry, tangy raspberry, blueberry and black plum, combined with a hint of chocolate morello cherry, liquorice, bitter cocoa, coffee, toasted hazelnut and heated wood, as well as touches of dried rosemary, dried mint and violet in the background. Tannins are fine, but grippy. Nice acidity, the finish is gourmand and chocolatey.
