George Washington’s – Rye Whiskey – Historic Recipe

(Year 2023 B, Bottle 2064) Lovely aromatic nose combining power, roundness and delicacy. It reveals notes of white fruits, lychee and small notes of white flowers associated with touches of crushed corn as well as fine fermentation hints. The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers juiciness, a tangy frame, roundness, fat as well as a certain delicacy. On the palate this Whiskey expresses notes of lychee, green apple and small notes of quenette associated with touches of white flowers as well as a subtle hint of peach blossom, almost dried zest and a discreet (and delicate) sappy hint. Good length. A fine salinity in the background.
