Château Certan de May 2022 – Pomerol

The nose is elegant, floral, fresh and deep, with a pleasant harmony. There are notes of lily, iris, and touches of fresh blackberry, associated with touches of bright blueberry, crushed cherry, as well as subtle notes of camphor, plum blossom, nutmeg and fine toasted hints. All accompanied by a discreet note of black tea infusion. The palate is floral, fruity, fresh, with a beautiful minerality. It is structured on a fresh frame, with a tangy side and great juiciness. The energy is elegant, supple and airy. There are notes of juicy/pulpy cherry, bright blackcurrant, fresh blueberry, associated with touches of racy minerality (clay-gravels), graphene, cardamom, and a hint of toast. In the background, we perceive a light note of infusion and a hint of liquorice stick and fresh toast as well as a hint of black tea. The tannins are fresh, supple and elegant.
