Château La Grave 2022 – Pomerol

Château La Grave 2022 – Pomerol

The nose is beautifully built, airy and supple, with a fine and finely velvety grain. It benefits from being decanted. There are notes of boysenberry, creamy blackcurrant, and touches of blueberry, associated with touches of small roasted and juicy red berries, almost with a discreet Mediterranean accent. Notes of fresh blond tobacco and a subtle hint of sweet rose petal, as well as sweet spices. The palate is beautifully creamy, fresh and juicy, with a beautiful airy lightness and great delicacy. The grain is high, velvety, and airy, well defined, with great finesse and mastery of the texture! A fine mineral touch is felt in the background. Flavors of creamy blackberry, luscious cassis, and purple plum combine with hints of juicy, roasted strawberry (with a Mediterranean accent), as well as nuances of infusion, bourbon vanilla, toast, and a subtle, almost black olive and cardamom hint. The tannins are soft and gourmand.
