The wine has a pale ruby color. The nose offers fruit, spicy and roasted notes, as well as a certain concentration. It expresses the gourmand notes of ripe wild strawberry, crushed raspberry, as well as a touch of black plum and blackcurrant. After aeration, we find the toasted notes (hazelnut, a touch of toasted wood in the background) and spicy notes (liquorice, clove) wrapped and well integrated, as well as a touch of roasted morello cherry and aromatic herbs (dried mint, rosemary). The palate is chiseled, with a tangy and straight attack. It expresses the flavors of sour red cherry, raspberry, dried cranberries, blueberry and blackcurrant, combined with herbal notes (dried mint, rosemary, blackcurrant leaf in the background), spiciness (liquorice, clove) and roasting (toasted hazelnut, a touch of bitterness of coffee) hints. The tannins are quite firm, but with a powdery texture and not drying (balanced by a salivating acidity). The finish is quite persistent, with notes of tangy red fruits and aromatic herbs and a good bitterness. Straightforwardness, accuracy and precision.
