Vignali L’armangia 2020 – Nizza Riserva

Vignali L’armangia 2020 – Nizza Riserva

The wine has a ruby color of medium intensity. The nose is elegant, full of minty freshness and gourmandise. It expresses notes of dried eucalyptus, dried rosemary, peppermint and fresh pine needles, combined with aromas of morello cherry, red cherry, crushed blackberry, raspberry coulis and blackcurrant jam. After aeration, we feel a racy minerality in notes of graphite, as well as a spicy side (licorice, gray pepper, nutmeg) and roasting (fresh almond, toasted hazelnut, cocoa), combined with a sweet hint of morello cherry in chocolate. The palate offers an enveloping side, delicacy and concentration and maturity of the fruits, even with sweet touches. It expresses the flavors of bird cherry jam (sweet and bitter), crushed morellocherry, blackberry, wild black plum, crushed raspberry in the background and the tangy side of red cherry, associated with notes of chocolate morello cherry, dark chocolate, a minty herbaceous side (peppermint, dried eucalyptus, dried pine needles), as well as notes of sweet spices (licorice, even slightly star anise, nutmeg, crushed gray pepper, clove) and cornflower. On the persistence, we also find notes of bitter almond, a tangy-bitter touch of grapefruit, as well as fresh bird cherry. The tannins are sapid, firm and fine, also with a good bitterness. The finish is persistent, chiseled and tangy. Energy, complexity and freshness.
