The wine has a ruby color of medium intensity. The nose offers complexity and concentration, but rather discreet, and opens up gradually after aeration. It expresses notes of fresh red cherry, dried red cherry, morello cherry, fresh blackcurrant, dried blackcurrant, crushed blueberry and raspberry, with a hint of maceration. Then, we also find tasty notes of sweet spices (nutmeg, liquorice, cubeb pepper, crushed black pepper in the background), associated with notes of roasting (coffee, toasted bitter almond, a hint of chocolate), aromatic herbs (dried rosemary, dried mint, a touch of bay leaf and tobacco). The tertiary notes of undergrowth (even with a hint of truffle) are very delicate. The palate is savoury and offers a fruity and tangy attack, with notes of red cherry, morello cherry, fresh strawberry, dried red cherry, fresh blackcurrant and blackberry. In the mid-palate, we find notes of sweet spices (nutmeg, liquorice, cubebpepper), roasting (coffee, cocoa, toasted almond) and smoke. The finish is persistent, sapid, but delicate, and completes the profile of the wine with subtle notes of undergrowth, truffles, toasted bread and dried rosemary. Good bitterness and gpurmandise on the finish. The tannins are well constructed, fine and solid, beautiful refreshing acidity.
