Les Pensées 2023 – Pomerol

A lovely nose combining racy minerality/dry gravel with fruity notes of pulpy cassis and more slightly – roasted-juicy small red fruits associated with touches of juicy small blue fruits as well as fine hints of flowers, nutmeg and discreet hints almost vanilla flowers. Nice definition, structure, a very nice stretchnes. The palate is fruity and offers juiciness, a nice floral side, material, a certain density, tension, a nice stretched/linear side, a nice texture in finesse. It expresses notes of tangy/juicy red plum, juicy/ripe cassis and more slightly – roasted small fruits, associated with touches of violet, small blue fruits as well as discreet hints of chocolate, rose, as well as a subtle hint almost orange/orange zest in the background. Good length. Elegant, precise and sapid tannins. A lovely little chewiness and suppleness at the same time on the finish, combined with a very nice acidity and almost a discreet hint of fresh flowers/rose and toast on the finish/persistence.
