Di Filippo 2020 – Montefalco Sagrantino

The nose is aromatic, mineral and offers gourmandise, precision as well as a racy and controled power. There are notes of wild blackberry, grey pepper and small notes of pulpy/ bright small fruits associated with touches of roasted strawberry, slight hints of olive tree leaf, badian as well as a hint of black olive and camphor. The mouth is fruity, mineral and offers freshness, tension, juiciness, an acidulous frame, a certain deepness as well as a beautiful vibrance/ energy. In the mouth this wine expresses notes of juicy/ pulpy blackberry, roasted-juicy red cherry and small notes of blue plum associated with touches of racy minerality, salinity as well as slight hints of slight toasted hints and a hint of toasted almond. Good length. Freshness and minerality.
