Terre de la Custodia – Melanto 2019 – Montefalco Sagrantino Passito

The nose is fruity, aromatic and offers a certain gourmandise and mastery. There are notes of Boysenberry, dried cassis and small notes of candied small red fruits associated with touches of tobacco, badian as well as slight almost liquorice hints and a subtle hint of spices. The mouth is fruity, very discreetly tight and offers juiciness, suavity, a mineral frame, a good definition, a certain tension, precicion, straigtness, structure as well as a bright/ juicy fruit. In the mouth this wine expresses notes of juicy/ pulpy red cherry, pulpy/ juicy cassis and small notes of candied strawberry associated with a touch of candied blueberry as well as a toasted hint, liquorice stick/ Zan and slight hints of chocolate/ cherry blossom.
