Scacciadiavoli 2020 – Montefalco Sagrantino Passito

The nose offers a slight concentration and a slight rancio side. There are notes of fig, blackberry paste and small notes of jammed strawberry associated with slight touches of rancio as well as discreet hints of spices/ gingerbread. The mouth is beautifuly fruity and offers minerality, gourmandise, energy as well as an acidulous frame. In the mouth this wine expresses notes of juicy/pulpy blackberry, cassis jelly and small notes of fruit paste associated with touches of grape jelly, redcurrant jam as well as dry apricot and spices, tobacco and balsamic. Beautiful gourmandise and finish. A subtile hint of black olive in the background.
