Château de Birazel Paulus 2022 – Bordeaux

The nose is a little reduced, finely tight and offers tension. It expresses notes of boysenberry, small bright blue berries and more slightly – bright raspberry, associated with touches of lily, vanilla and a very discreet hint of liquorice. The palate is fresh, mineral and offers a little tension, accuracy, a tangy structure, tension and controlled power. It expresses notes of juicy/pulpy blackberry, juicy/pulpy raspberry, and more slightly – bright cherry associated with touches of star anise as well as hints of licorice stick and a discreet hint of toasted almond and licorice. Nice juiciness and minerality. A certain concentration and a textured side.
