The nose is elegant, aromatic, flowery and offers power as well as a beautiful finesse of the grain. It reveals notes of ripe cassis, violet and small notes of ripe strawberry associated with small touches of cornflower/lilac, juicy wild blackberry, hints of small berries, graphite as well as subtle hints of cardamom, spices, Cuben pepper and a very discreet hint of Ceylan tea. The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers a beautiful definition, a beautiful juiciness, deepness, concentration, a beautiful tannic structure, an acidulous frame, a beautiful freshness/minerality, fullness, richness/density, a beautiful suavity, gourmandize, a fine creaminess, tension, contained power as well as complexity. On the palate this wine expressesnotes of juicy cassis, fleshy/juicy wild strawberry and small notes of ripe/juicy small red berries associated with touches of violet, mocha/cocoa, Ceylan tea, cornflower as well as discreet hints of lilac, vanilla, toasted oak/grilled oak, sugared tobacco and Cuben pepper. Tannins are elegant, fine, structuring and racy. Good length and good persistence. There is a very discreet hint of caramelization, juicy fruits, flowers and a subtle hint of almond/nutmeg on the persistence. A beautiful wine !
