CHÂTEAU CHAUVIN – Saint-Emilion Grand Cru, Grand Cru Classé

CHÂTEAU CHAUVIN – Saint-Emilion Grand Cru, Grand Cru Classé

The nose is fruity, frank and offers a certain concentration and a lovely velvety side. It reveals notes of ripe wild cassis, small concentrated fruits and small notes of wild strawberry, associated with touches of lily, saffron in its floral side, sweet spices, as well as a fine hint of cinnamon and a discreet hint of cornflower and camphor. The palate is fruity, mineral, it offers a fresh frame, a little tension, precision, energy, purity and fine concentration. It also presents an elegant, silky, delicate, fresh and discreetly tight grain. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of juicy/pulpy blueberry, bright raspberry and small notes of small brilliant red fruits, combined with a touch of bergamot and star anise. Good length. A subtle, almost sappy hint, chocolate and mocha in the background.
